    I’m getting this error:

Error: The source for the import is invalid or could not be accessed.

When trying to use AutoUpdate. What’s weird is it is working fine for 10 or so tables I set up earlier today with the files in the exact same location as the new ones I am trying to set up.

Any idea why this is happening?

    Follow-up:

I’m getting this error when clicking the bottom “Save Auto Import Configuration” but not when I click the top one…

Okay still having major issues. It says it’s saving the configuration but then it defaults back to not active and no link listed.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This indicates that something on the server, like a firewall or security software like mod_security is interfering. Most likely, that software is intercepting the HTTP request from the browser to the plugin. It’s then raising a false alarm and does not pass the full transmitted data to TablePress ??

    Tobias,

I don’t understand why it’s working fine for other tables that are pulling the files from the exact same location on the server then? Wouldn’t they all fail if that was the issue?

It also doesn’t make any sense that after I click Save Auto Import Configuration, it’s giving me a success message, but not saving the settings at all. It doesn’t save the Auto Import, Format, Source Type, Source. Everything just goes back to blank.

    Hi,

that’s exactly the phenomenon that explains this. TablePress (or rather the Auto Import Extension) does get data forwarded from the server it’s running on, but it doesn’t know that this is the full set of data.
If you want, I can offer to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch by email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly, but I can’t promise anything, I’m afraid.

    Regards,
    Tobias
