• Hi,

When I edit a page in WordPress, that I have changed the URI for at some point, it reverts back to the old URI when I save the page, even if the Auto-update is not activated under Tools -> Permalink Manager -> Settings.

    Hi @cacagnitio,

what is your “Auto-update the URI” setting on affected page?

The global settings can be overwritten for each single post or page and even if “Auto-update” is not enabled in plugin settings, this feature can be enabled on particular post or page.

    Best Regards,
    Maciej

    Hi,

I can not see that setting. The dropdown is very small (in code-view I can see the width is set to 0px). See screenshot. But when it has been disabled in the settings, it should not matter what the setting is on the pages?

Actually, it matters – there are three options available:

    • Use global settings
    • No
    • Yes

By default it is set to “Use global settings”, but in your case it is probably changed to “Yes”. You can check it also in “Custom Fields” section:

If there is “auto_update_uri” displayed, please remove it – then the global settings will be used:

    Hi again,

I added a CSS adjustment for .widefat class (including mentioned <select> dropdown), as it seems that one of the plugins you use, breaks the HTML output of my plugin in admin area.

Please remove the old instance of Permalink Manager and install a fresh copy, this should help (the dropdown should be visible then).

If I remove the plugin, will all my structures etc. be deleted?

They are stored in the database, after you reinstall the plugin, they will be in use again.

During plugin removal or installation, none of the user-data is removed.

I uninstalled/deleted the plugin and installed it again, but the dropdown is still not displayed correct.

Ok, it would be like a looking for a needle in haystack, so let’s try to fix it another way:

    1. Please enable the “Custom Fields” section here:

    2. Scroll down the page, “Custom Field” metabox should be displayed below content editor.

    3. Check if “auto_update_uri” field is set.

    4. If yes, please remove it.
