Auto Updated to WP 4.8.1

  • Was notified that our WP version was automatically updated. Now, we can not add any events (thought might be something to do with The Events Calendar plugin), and can not add any posts (so nothing to do with plug-in).

    Tried to re-install version 4.8.1, but getting message “another update is currently processing. So, looks like the 4.8.1 never completely finished.

    How do I proceed from here?

  • The site appears to be at 4.8.1.

    Please clear your local browser and/or any server cache in use.

    (FYI, the first mountain I climbed was Monadnock).

    Do you have other plugins installed? May be one is not compatible with the current version of your WordPress site.

    Thanks for the replies.

    Yes, this site is at 4.98.1. That is the problem I believe. Have cleared all cache without resolution, and this is happening for multiple users so not just my machine.

    De-activated all plugins and still have the problem. Can not add posts nor events.

    And, still says another update is running so I can not try to re-install 4.8.1. Believe it failed part way through and this is why we are having trouble.
