Autofocus Pro: keep showing featured posts

I’m trying to get Autofocus+ Pro (in portfolio mode) to show the posts that I put as a sticky in the normal (square thumbnail) format as well. What happens now is that the posts disappear from the frontpage as soon as I add them to the slider by making them sticky. I’ve tried finicking with thematic-functions.php, but no success so far. Any ideas?
