plugins that have been deleted years ago are still showing in the wp_options list on the options tab.

And some even have autoload set as yes.

Is there a way to remove all enteries from the wp_options from old plugins and all autoloads?

    Hi @lucytech,

There is no automatic way to do it. The plugin can help you detect orphaned options, but it is up to you to decide whether to delete them or not. The plugin can also help you filter all options with autoload set to “yes” so you can get an idea.

    Kind regards,
    Younes

Why do old deleted plugins still have enteries in the wp_options table?

Even when there is no orphaned data or rows.

This issue relates to how plugin developers handle their options. Even if a plugin is uninstalled, it doesn’t necessarily mean that its options in “wp_options” will be automatically deleted. If the plugin developer does not explicitly delete these options during uninstallation, they will remain in “wp_options,” requiring a manual cleanup to remove them.
