With the update of wordpress 6.6 Site health is now saying “Autoloaded options could affect performance”

Autoloaded options are configuration settings for plugins and themes that are automatically loaded with every page load in WordPress. Having too many autoloaded options can slow down your site. Your site has 1006 autoloaded options (size: 5 MB) in the options table, which could cause your site to be slow. You can review the options being autoloaded in your database and remove any options that are no longer needed by your site.

It looks like Site Health properly recommended what you can do to address this and explained why.

Did you run into any trouble with that?

I am getting this same message after the recent update as well.

Autoloaded options are configuration settings for plugins and themes that are automatically loaded with every page load in WordPress. Having too many autoloaded options can slow down your site. Your site has 1062 autoloaded options (size: 1 MB) in the options table, which could cause your site to be slow. You can review the options being autoloaded in your database and remove any options that are no longer needed by your site.

I’m not sure whether to await another WooCommerce update to resolve issue, or to try resolve before an update is released.

Is there anyway to decipher which plugin has too many autoloaded options without causing a disruption to my visitors during the day.

The same message also appeared after the update. Can it be expected to be resolved with the next wp update?

Same issue on all my Websites ??
    (WP 6.6)

I’m not able to replicate this issue in WordPress 6.6.

There’s a related issue, though, for cases with external code involved: https://github.com/WordPress/performance/issues/1340

I am getting the same Critical Issue:

“Autoloaded options are configuration settings for plugins and themes that are automatically loaded with every page load in WordPress. Having too many autoloaded options can slow down your site. Your site has 1272 autoloaded options (size: 800 KB) in the options table, which could cause your site to be slow. You can review the options being autoloaded in your database and remove any options that are no longer needed by your site.”

I’m seeing this critcal issue, too.

It’s not a big deal, but wouldn’t it be better to move it to “recommended improvements”.

At least then, there would be no red warning label on Site Health.
