    Greetings!

    We launched our store yesterday and had 12 orders. There were 6 orders to people in the state of California, our home state, but only 2 of them charged tax. Both of those shopping carts contained a hat only. The others did contain the hat.

    I have reviewed all of the settings at the top level and at the product level and everything seems to be set up correctly.

    When I go to the shopping cart and choose a CA shipping address, the system calculates the tax just fine… A new CA order last night did collect tax on an item other than a hat, so it appears to be working now. But I am wondering why those first 4 orders did not include tax…

    Could I share the information with you so you could take a look? I want to be assured that we’re on track going forward.

    OK, I’m glad to see that the latest orders have been working as they should. Here’s what I suggest:

    • Make sure that Automated Taxes are enabled under **WooCommerce > Settings > Tax**, as in this image: https://d.pr/i/7IoyWp
    • Review all your products and make sure that they are all taxable
    • Enable WooCommerce Shipping & Tax logs, under **WooCommerce > Status > WooCommerce Shipping & Tax**. This will give us valuable information in case that another issue with taxes.

    If you need any further assistance please share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.
