• Hi Support,

We noticed something unusual when publishing posts manually vs. scheduling the published date.

So we have existing posts on our site.
We change its URL/permalink manually and when we publish it immediately, a 301 redirect is added automatically where the previous URL is redirected (301) to the new URL.

However, when we schedule the Published date to a future date, when it got published as scheduled, the 301 redirect is not automatically added.

Can you please advise if there’s a fix for this?

And if WordPress will be able to fix this in a future version?

    Thanks!

  • I’m unable to reproduce this on a test site (6.1.1, default TT3 theme, no plugin installed). In both cases, the old permalinks were 302-redirected to the new ones.

I’ll recommend you set up a test site to confirm this. (Use https://instawp.com/ — no registration required.)
