Automatic campaign problem
-
We had our first automated “email campaign” go out yesterday.
In the test mail I sent to myself, everything was fine.
This whole thing however seems to have gone to hell.
First of all, the “automated campaign” created 77 pages of about 10 “Newsletters” per page. It was scheduled to start sending friday at 11:00, at 170 mails per hour, which is what we used with our previous plugin. The hosting supports it without problems of course.
It has started sending approx. one mail per 1-2 minutes, and hasn’t yet finished, more than 24h later.This wouldn’t even be that big of a deal if the mail was actually the same as the test mail I saw. Our readers started contacting us about the newsletter, saying that it looks like that:
.digest-list-post { min-width:100%; width:100%; margin-bottom:30px; border-spacing:0; } .digest-list-post a { text-decoration:none; color:#333333; } .digest-list-post-title { font-size:18px; line-height:1.22; font-weight:700; margin: 0 0 10px !important; word-break: break-word; padding-top: 0 !important; } .digest-list-post-excerpt { line-height: 1.33; font-size: 15px; margin: 0 0 10px !important; padding-top: 0 !important; word-break: break-word; } .digest-list-post-meta { font-size:13px; color:#757575; margin: 0 !important; word-break: break-word; } .digest-list-post-meta a { color:#757575; } @media only screen and (max-width: 480px){ .d-xs-block { display:block !important; width:100% !important; } .pl-xs-0 { padding-left: 0 !important; } }
Since the addresses of the admins and redactors and editors were the first to be added, it seems that we will be the last to receive the mail – none of us have it yet.
We are quite devastated by this bad surprise. Thousands of subscribers will receive that, and probably hundreds will unsubscribe.
I don’t know what to do, and I’m afraid to use this plugin any further.
This was very disappointing
