Automatic excerpt

    does wordpress not generate an automatic excerpt? Do I have to enter an excerpt for each post on its own?

  • WordPrss will take the first 55 words of any post that you make and use that as an excerpt if you don’t enter one yourself.

    Thanks, then somehow it doesn’t work, I use elementor and oceanWP theme and the excerpt is not generated. Is there a way to check why it isn’t generated?

    You would have to ask the themes authors why.
