Is there any way to have it take my postings and create automatically an excerpt for the homepage?
    Something like this?
    Post Title (posted on date)
Posting starts here blah blah blah blah….
    (click for more)
I’ve searched around and all I can find is to use the excerpt feature, but what I want is to take the first 10 lines or so from the posting and then have the user click for more. Also, if the posting is very short, I don’t want the “click for more” thing to show up….
    Any help would be awesome!
    Thanks

Click the ‘more’ tag when and where you want it ?

never knew that before! that works…. doesn’t do quite exactly what I wanted (since I wanted it to be automatically done, but hey… I can’t always get what I want right?) Thanks!

    Any idea how to:
    1. Change the text of the More to Read More…
    2. Find the “loop” for the full page version of the story, so I can incorporate it into my own web page? As it is now, I have a working version on my normal web page (Well, a .php version of my web page), but when you click More, it takes you to a varient of the Index.php page. I’m thinking I have a long stretch of code hacking ahead of me, but I’m hoping not. Maybe it’s as easy as finding where the More code is burried and redirect it to a new page with a modified “loop” on it?

that is exactly what it already does when you don?′t fill in a summary when posting. Also, it will end after x amount of *characters* instead of lines, i believe.
