Automatic Formatting?

    Hey there.

    I’m not sure where to put this and I’m sure it’s been covered before, but I’m not entirely certain as to how to search for it.

    What I’d like to do is have some text in my posts automatically convert into links. Specifically I’m looking to have any “@” text converted over to a Twitter link. For example, I would like “@endlessmonkeys” to automatically turn itself into a link to https://www.twitter.com/endlessmonkeys.

    I’m thinking that this may be more accomplished on the server level and may not be possible in WP, but I’m just not 100% sure. If this topic’s been covered, then I apologize and would appreciate a link pointing to the right location. Thanks much! ??

  • There are several autolink WordPress plugins that do this.
