Automatic geocoding

That’s normal, yes. WordPress has a bulk-edit function, so you may be able to use that to do many at once, but i’ve never tried it.

You can set to screen options to show 100 posts at a time, then click on the ‘select all’ checkbox, then bulk edit them and change something trivial.

If that doesn’t work, you’d need to write a small script to update them all.

It might be easier to try deleting and re-importing them, and then make sure that the meta fields get imported. These threads might have some useful info:

“bulk edit them and change something trivial.” – this was the first thing i did and it didn’t work.
I went through your posts and couldn’t find a solution that would work for me. Here’s what I did though:
1. I geocoded all the addresses manually with this service:
https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/geocoder/
Basically, it takes all you addresses, finds them on the map and returns latitude and longitude. Works great for latin character addresses, and not so accurate for addresses in cyrillic (you need to provide a certain address template. try “streetname, housenumber, zipcode, city, country”).
Then you can save them as GPX and convert it to CSV (google for gpx to csv converter).
2. I updated existing placemarks’ latitude and longitide with wp-all-import plugin.
