Automatic monthly payments with iDeal possible?

    Hi Remco,

    Hi, I’m investigating the possibilities to build a website with a profile section (sort of market place / platform), I would like to use UPME. There will be a monthly/quarterly automatic payment for the people who want their profile on the platform.

    For the payment subscription I looked at the plugin Subscriptio, but it doesn’t support iDeal. My client would like iDeal, are automatic payment possible with your plugin?

    => If they once pay with iDeal, do they give promition to automaticaly withdrawl monthly payments of their bank accounts? Isn’t a “machtiging” required for this in the Netherlands?

    Hope you can help me out with some ideas how to set this up.

    Please see https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/pronamic-ideal/ for an overview of extensions that are supported; User Profiles Made Easy is unsupported. Pronamic iDEAL will only add the iDEAL payment method for these supported WordPress plugins.

    Recurring payments aren’t possible just yet, but we’re working on it. At release of this subscriptions functionality, not all extensions and payment providers will be supported unfortunately (support will expand over time).

    The area of the online “machtiging” (setting up a mandate) is developing. Some payment providers make it possible to make a first payment with iDEAL and use direct debit for future payments. But we’re also exploring “Digitaal Incassomachtigen”. Our plugin will always state clearly that a customer is giving his/her permission for recurring payments. For example, the payment method used at checkout for recurring payments is NOT the same as the usual iDEAL payment method for one time payments.

    In my search I came across Mollie Recurring which is lanched this month. It looks promosing, although it’s only linked to Woocommerce Subscriptions, which cost 199 dollar/year. That’s a shame…

    You could have a look at Paytium, no need for WooCommerce or WooCommerce subscriptions:

    The Pronamic iDEAL plugin now also supports recurring payments through Mollie Recurring with Gravity Forms (https://www.gravityforms.com/). If you already have the Gravity Forms User Registration add-on, this might be an interesting option too.

    But I hope/assume you’ve already found a solution to your original question – after 7 months?
