I couldn’t understand why a change to a calendar used in the Simple Calendar – Google Plugin was not being recognized. I cleared Cloudflare cache, WP-Optimize cache and browser cache. The new event did not show. Only when I cleared the cache from within the plugin did the event begin showing on the website.

It is my opinion that there needs to be either some recognition of event changes on the Google calendar, which might be too difficult, or a setting that would automatically clear the cache for a set time, say 15, 30, 45, 60 min to ensure new / edited events are displayed.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

In regards to your query here, each calendar in Simple Calendar caches the events queried from Google for a period of time and updates them at periodic intervals. You can change the default maximum interval for each individual calendar, in the?Advanced?tab in the calendar settings panel.

    I hope this information helps.

    Kind Regards,

    John
