Would you recommend that users of NinjaFirewall implement automatic updates of this one plugin, as per WP codex?

But I would think to use the technique to only auto update NinjaFirewall, that way you get the protection for things like your Yoast SEO patch, without the risk of auto updating all plugins which might break something on your site.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I do not recommend to auto-update NinjaFirewall because it is a firewall, not just a regular plugin. If something went wrong, the whole site would be offline. Instead, I recommend to check our upgrade announcements via our Twitter account.

We are currently working on a new feature that will let you automatically update the security rules only (a few kilobytes of data stored in the database), every hour. That would make thing much easier and quicker than updating the whole plugin and its files, without any risk to crash the site. I think that feature should be available within the next few weeks or so.

Makes sense for sure. I was just trying to find a way to ensure timely updates, but what you have coming down the pipeline sounds amazing. This would easily make what is the most effective WP security plugin, significantly better. Thank you!
