Automatic plugin upgrades – FTP Port 21

  • I recently upgraded to 2.8.4 mostly for the automatic upload conveniences.

    I run my site on my own server and have elected to select a different port for my FTP. The automatic upgrade does not allow you to specify a unique port number when attempting to upgrade plugins.

    What *.php file do I need to HACK in order to change the default port number from 21 to my personal port number?

    How do I suggest allowing users to specify port numbrs in future releases?
