Feedzy works as expected, and I was considering upgrading it for a site. However, something is missing.

The site uses another script to automatically share to social accounts, and according to their support, it fails to recognize and schedule the post because the category is not set as the post is created by Feedzy.

They think Feedzy creates the post, and then adds the category in a second step, and that is where the other script fails to schedule.

When I create a post directly, set the category and date, my sharing script is able to set up the schedule to be shared later.

Would you mind considering this in future releases?

    Thanks

    Hi @myuption,

Thank you for using Feedzy and for sharing more details about your use case.

Feedzy has the option to assign an existing category from your website to the newly imported posts. In case you have tried this already, and it doesn’t work with the integration you mentioned, would it be possible to share the name of the software you use for sharing the posts on social networks so I can register a feature request?

Alternatively, you can configure the import of Feedzy to save the posts as drafts. This way, when you publish them, the category is already assigned.

    I hope this will help.

The idea is to automate the process, saving as drafts can be a bit tedious in the long run.

The plugin is FS Poster from codecanyon.

    Thanks

    Hi there!

Generally, when a post is published on the website, the categories and tags are assigned during post creation; however, Feedzy creates the post and then updates the post to add a category. When a post is created, FS Poster looks at its category options and does not see it when Feedzy shares it. You can check the demo to get an idea of how the plugin works.
