Automatic Update just ruined my web site

  • Today, this theme automatically updated itself and wrecked my whole web site!
    I feel like I’ve been pirated. adds from Media Library, Fonts, Layout. All gone.
    My first page is now “published” as “ONE PIRATE theme”. Back to ZERO!
    Weeks of work down the drain.
    If I put it back into place who’s to say the next automatic update won’t do the same thing.
    I updated one of my other sites – Bota theme – and lost nearly everything too.
    If this is WordPress at it’s best I prefer to go back to clunky Drupal.

  • It’s not WordPress at it best. It’s a theme at it’s worst. I’m using ZetaPro from the same company. I paid $99 for their package and the theme functionality is awful. You make a change in the customize area (once you’ve figured out how to do it) and it doesn’t show on the live site. But wait, sometimes it does! It can make life interesting since you never know exactly what your visitors are seeing.

    I am going to ask for a refund.

    I am really sorry if our products are not what you need, but please don’t mislead any other users regarding the automatic update, because that is not happening. You have an option, to update or not the theme.
    Anyway, we are fully willing to help our users with issues related to our products. You only need to open a ticket on the www.ads-software.com forum or send us an email.
