    Hi all, yesterday I use the option to update wordpress from inside. I had last version and update to 3.3. Everything seems to works fine in the update process, but still I see the banner saying is an update available. I saw version.php file and say it has wordpress 3.3, but I culdn’t see any of the new stuff.

    How could I know exactly which version I have?

    Have you tried:

    – flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.

    It’s not browser or wordpress plugin caché. Maybe server, but I don’t configure one yet. And update was yesterday. I will wait one more day to be sure

    I’m having a similar issue. My automatic update failed, so I resorted to manually downloading and installing that way. That was successful and I was able to push the update to my network. However, all my sites contain the message “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete! Please notify the site administrator.” Despite displaying version 3.3 and having all the new features.

    I’ve tried multiple machines and several usernames. Any ideas about what could be causing this?

    Try deleting the file called “.maintenance” in the root of your site.
    That should disable the maintenance mode.

    @keesiemeijer
    That did it. Thank you.

    No problem. Glad you got it resolved.
