Does anybody else had problem, that automatic updates not working on the sites with Crocoblock (for both Hello Elementor and Kava child themes)?
If yes how did you solve it? The support of Crocoblock is unfortunately answered that they do not guarantee full compatibility with third-party plugins. This wonderful plugin (Easy Updates Manager) works on all our other projects with oxygen, astra, betheme without any issues, only with crocoblock we experience this problem ??

  • Hi,

Could you please contact the Crocoblock support asking whether it can be automatic updated or if it can only be manual updated. Due to third-party libraries (could be additional plugins in order to have the Crocoblock work as expected) sometimes the plugin author might have disabled auto-updates for their plugins and therefore updates could only be performed manually. For them, this is to prevent incompatibility version between the main plugin with the third party plugins it uses.

    Thanks

    Hi Anthon (@anthoniusalfred),
unfortunately not only the Crocoblock plugins are not updatet by Easy Update Manager, but all plugins in the wordpress installation also from another plugin authors, and those other plugins are updatet on our other websites with help of EUM without problems. But I asked the support of the Crocoblock to be sure and got following answer:
“?We do not block the core function of wordpress (autoupdate). Please try to change the theme to Hello or Astra and check if it will work.”

Well we have the sites with Hello Elementor Theme and with Kava Theme both with Crocoblock and both have the same problem with autoupdates.

So before we invest a lot of time to try to test it with standart wordpress themes and switching off all other plugins one by one (cause we need to make a duplicate of a website for that) I thought I will ask here in hope that someone had such a problem and has a ready solution.

    Cheers,
Anton from Creationell (that is funny coincidence).

    Hi Anton,

    It’s indeed funny coincidence ??

Anyway, I suspect the problem you’re facing might be an isolated issue related to your server settings or your hosting, for example if your WordPress website couldn’t perform a loopback request which is required for auto-updates event to be performed via the internal WP-Cron, it’s likely you won’t get all your plugins auto-updated or if your hosting or a plugin is preventing wp-cron.php file from being accessed. However, there could be a plugin preventing auto-update event from being run via some WP actions/filters, or there could be other critical issues on your WP site that you need to resolve them first.

If there’s an overdue auto-updates event on your website, you could try to access https://www.your-website-domain.com/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron via the browser address bar to see if that resolves the issue for you, but if not you could access the Site Health tools under the WP’s Tools menu on the left sidebar

and see there is any issue related to automatic updates

    Thanks

Thank you Support Team from Easy Update Manager, for finding out, that the reason is in the Jet Engine plugin from Crocoblock, that throws php errors upon the autoupdate event from WordPress, what prevented the Easy Update Manager from working as intenden. We hope Crocoblock will solve this problem.
