• Can somebody advise me with the Automatic Upgrade plugin installation? I think I have installed it and gave it all the FTP credentials information.

At the moment the only thing I get from clicking Manage > Automatic Upgrad is this:

    WordPress automatic upgrade
    Upgrades your wordpress installation automatically

    TASK OUTPUT

    TASK STATUS
We conducted some preliminary checks on your server. Below is the output

Seems you have not completed the clean up process from last upgrade. Please click here to run the clean up process before continuing

However, when I click, nothing happens – the page only reloads after a while. What can I do to make it work? ??

  • Claire,

Did you get an answer to this?
    I’m having the same problem.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Same problem here. I get a flash of a page with some errors in it, but it autoforwards back to the same page, and I can’t hold long enough to read what’s written. I’m wondering if it has to do with permissions.

    Same problem here. Any ideas?

    Same problem here!

Me, too—I installed these things to make life easier but with hindsight I should just do things the hard way—which will be easier!

Folks, I have found that if you delete the wpau-backup folder, you should be OK. There may be a wpau-backup.txt file somewhere (that I read about on another board) that also needs to be deleted. For me, deleting just that folder worked to remove the error message.
