  • @auto, a while back I tried to get this to work, but the upload did not work. I figured since no one was showing any interest, I would have a go at working with it. It seems to work, and I eased it into my index.php in a new Music section. Although I increased the max file size under the upload configuration, it seems capped somewhere under a 2 meg upload. Of course, that might be my ISP enforcing something, but this is resolved by crunching the .mp3s down hard.
I would be nice to be able to make the flash player invisible, and eliminate the front image so only the link lists show up. That would keep the menu clean, and folks could just click on a tune while they are browsing a page. It would also make it possible to get my index page back into XHTML compliance. IFrames..ugh.
Nice job though, has lots of potential.

Ok, I like the ideas that you propose, now I am saturated of work, but as soon as possible I will return to improve plugin features . About the maximum size, I have the same problem . I believe that’s a server limitation at the max_post_size value in the PHP configuration.
Thanks for the feedback and sorry for my english.

Ahm, feel free to change the logo (Automatic WP Player) by modifying the “front.html” and the “front.jpg” picture that are located in the “images” directory.

Can someone explain to me in plain English where the 2MB server limitation is coming from. I’ve set my max upload to 10MB. If I can’t upload 6 or 8MB song files then I’m in deep doodoo as I have an mp3 blog & thought this’d be a piece of cake for WP.

Is the file size limitation coming fr. my own host? Or somewhere else?

    The host.
And like I said in the other thread, use an FTP client.

Podz: Just tried that. It failed there too. Even after deleting the song file (looks like it may’ve partially uploaded), I kept getting error msgs. asking if I wanted to overwrite the file. Even if I checked overwrite it’d never complete the upload.

I don’t understand how Bluehost could have such severe file size limitation when it’s own instructions tell you how to stream audio/video. Do you think that you have to pay more to upload larger file? If so, I would’ve shopped for a host that wouldn’t place such a roadblock in front of me (I have an mp3 blog).

I fixed the php.ini file & may’ve had my ftp software set to the wrong transfer type. After changing these, the upload worked.
