Hi – the last few updates of WordPress have occurred automatically. I read where with minor patches the developers have made this an automatic process. If so that is fine, but the last couple of these have given me the ‘en_CA’ version of the file, which I’m guessing is a for Canadian sites? I’m in USA, and previously would manually update using the -en file. I haven’t noted any affects of having the ‘CA’ file, but would like to be sure and use the ‘en’ version. How can I do this? Just wait for the next update that will allow me to upgrade manually?

    Thanks,
    John

There is no special version for “ca”. WordPress is WordPress. It uses language packs to determine what language you see.

You can set your language preference in the main settings or on your users page. Additionally, the language of the site can be defined in the wp-config.php file.
