Automatically add to subscribed list

    Hi.

    We’ve previously used MailPoet 2 on our members site and were able to automatically add new members as subscribed, they gave permission to become members, so we didn’t need to ask for them to confirm their subscription.

    Now however we can’t seem to get this to work with MailPoet 3, and have list of members we’ve added sitting in the unsubscribed list. I see we’re not able to change unsubscribed users to subscribed now, but maybe you have a workaround to make this possible.

    We really don’t want to send out emails again for them to confirm their subscription.

    Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Hi,

    If you’re using MailPoet Sending Service, then subscription confirmation is mandatory. Otherwise, you can disable it under Settings->Sign-up Confirmation.

    If you have a large number of unsubscribed users, you can: (1) export them (make sure to include the “status” field while exporting); (2) edit the exported file and change everyone’s status to “subscribed”; and finally, (3) re-import subscribers.
