Automatically Delete Unapproved Comments after x days

I get a lot of spam which I dont want to delete – that takes time and effort. I have keywords setup that block 99% of it (texas, poker :D).

I just am testing a wee plugin that will automatically delete comments after a set number of days. That way I can scan the comment list once in a while to see if there is anything worthy (which there almost never is) and then just ignore everything else in the queue. This is ideal for me because I travel a lot and dont always have the time on dial up to deal with comment moderation and after my last (near three week) trip I came back to over 1600 comments …. I got tired of it.

Its kinda useful if your hands off like me, seems to be working. If you want it give me a nod and I’ll make it available for ya’ll — if its just a silly idea then just dont bother responding and leave me with my air of achievement ??

I am aware of a couple of hacks out there that set the delete option as a default and so on but I worry that upgrades will require future hacks and I prefere to leave my WP installation standard.
