Hello, thanks for the awesome plugin! I find it strange that Nested Pages will not automatically hide pages which have been changed to draft mode. Is there a setting or filter we can use to make this happen automatically as opposed to having to check “hide in nav menu”? This would be super helpful! Any info is appreciated.

  • I’m having the same issue. I can’t seem to find a setting anywhere to disable this. Guessing it’s a bug since it’s so obvious that you would not want this to happen. Also thought maybe it was just because I was logged in that I was seeing it on the front end but even when I log out the draft page links still show up. And clicking on them gives you a 404 of course.

@takeok I had to manually edit the WP menu in order to remove the draft page. The automatic sync seemed to have stopped working at least temporarily. The other solution I’ve found is manually deleting all pages from the WP menu and then re-syncing the Nested Pages layout so it regenerates the menu items. Not sure why things quit working like that.

This bug should be fixed in the latest release, 3.1.8. Any page not set to “publish” will be removed from the generated menu.

Checking the “Hide in Nav Menu” checkbox in the Quick Edit > Menu Options interface will also remove a page from the generated menu.
