I do not use Loginizer, but just recently it has been installed on all my existing websites without any action taken by myself. Why is this happening?

@rodeboy I am suddenly seeing it on some of my sites – did you work out how it was installed?

@davinian It appears that Softaculous may be installing by default when you install WordPress. In my case my hosting provider added it server-wide as they had noticed a large number of brute-force attacks on WP websites. So, to be fair, they were looking to protect my sites.

I have since deleted it as I have iThemes Security on all my sites with brute force enabled. This would seem to do the same job as Loginizer.

It would be good to hear from the Loginizer developer/support team on what is happening with the plugin – see the separate thread on being unable to deactivate it from WP Admin.

@rodeboy thanks for quick reply, I had a feeling it might have been installed by my host – just checking my other sites but have only used Softaculous a couple of times (usually manually install WordPress).

Yes, I added a comment to the other thred as also had issue disabling Loginizer – might be related to Softaculous, but can’t see it’s installed as an mu (must use) plugin.

    Have a good day.
