Automatically set facebook image of a product

Yoast SEO uses the featured image as the Facebook image by default. Have you checked to see whether this is already appearing in the “og:image” meta tag by viewing the page source?

If not, you may be able to set the Facebook/Open Graph image dynamically using the available developer hooks: wpseo_opengraph_image. We have more details in the Yoast Metadata API documentation.

I checked but it is using the logo that I set for my homepage – <meta property=”og:image” content=”https://finogold.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/cropped-logo_finogold.png&#8221; />.

When I post the link of a product it also displays the image above.
I will give a look to that hook.

@hgomesc The og:image value can also be customized using the wpseo_opengraph_url filter and you can find some code examples using it here. We also have additional information on this at the following link: https://yoast.com/help/change-og-url/
