  • Try changing the permissions on your wp-content file (you can do this with most ftp applications).
    I don’t know how safe it is, but changing them to 777 seems to do the trick.

    After you’re finished upgrading your plugins ALWAYS reset the permissions back to 755 or whatever it was previous to you changing it to upgrade. 777 leaves things wide open – not good!
