Automatically 'update' product page

Further to a recent problem with out of stock products not being hidden from the catalog/search after all variations are removed by a CSV import: explained here, if interested, I’ve realised the problem is solved by clicking into the affected product on the back-end, and then simply clicking update.

I don’t want to update every product manually after every csv import, so would like a way to bulk update products, or automatically ‘refresh’ the website.

I’m sure there’s a more technical way to word it, so apologies for my noob terminology. If someone could point me in the right direction, that’d be grand. Thank you.
