Automations and double-opt-in

  • If I create an automation that’s triggered by adding a tag, and a tag is added to a new subscriber before double opt-in is complete. Will the automation wait for opt-in confirmation before starting (like ActiveCampaign does)? Or will it just start and therefore fail to send the first email or two?

    Hi @hansderuiter, unfortunately, with the current implementation, it will start immediately and fail on “Send email” step. We have a ticket to change this behaviour, but I don’t have any ETA when that will be implemented.

    We’ll reply back to this post when it’s done, and in the meantime, I’d recommend adding a Delay step of 1 day as a workaround. It’s not ideal, will artificially postpone sending email for those who confirm immediately, but it should work for some of your subscribers.
