    hello,

I am using Automator in order to connect a Woocommerce purchase with the assignment of a role. I’m not sure how the expiry is implemented in the Restrict User Access plugin-

Please clariy whether RUA expiry settings will work if roles are assigned outside the plugin.

    Thank you very much

If the Access Level is synchronized with a role, the expiry will be for as long as the user has the specified role, which can be indefinite.

You can read more about the level options here https://dev.institute/docs/restrict-user-access/getting-started/create-level/

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you for replying

Yes, I tried to solve the problem by Sinchronizing Levels with Roles,?
However, this has partially solved the problem.

I couldn′t yet get the system or the synchronization to “obey” the settings of Options: DURATION 30 days.

PLEASE NOTICE:This duration setting is configured both in?1) RUA and also in?2) Woocommmerce (Product/Simple/Virtual/Download link: 30 days)

I have uploaded a screen-capture for your convenience.??https://recorreba.com/rua-access.jpg ? Here I am showing the settings configured for role: “argentina-progreso” .?
I see that you wrote: “If the Access Level is synchronized with a role, the expiry will be for as long as the user has the specified role, which can be indefinite.”

In the link you have just provided,??Creating a level – Restrict User Access Docs (dev.institute)??I read ”?Duration:
Set the membership duration for users in the level. If the level is synchronized with a User Role, the duration will automatically be indefinite.”?

Here my question is: Is there any possible way to assign a role with an expiry date , that is, during a given duration, and so have it removed after those 30 days instead of granting as indefinite??

Please let me know how to fix this issue and get the system automatically remove the role to the client following the settings: “remove role 30 days after purchase”.?

Any suggestion will be so much appreciated!!!

    Best regards

    Hello again

Quoting where you wrote: “If the Access Level is synchronized with a role, the expiry will be for as long as the user has the specified role,”

This is not applying in my website; Assignment of a role works, but expiry is not working. Every role is properly synchronized with the corresponding Access Level; They are set up to expire in a given number of days, but RUA does not remove the role after those days.

I have already tried several times and ways and I keep on facing this same problem with each and every role.

Please help me fix this issue

    Thank you

Restrict User Access does not remove roles given to users by other plugins. As mentioned, the Duration option will not apply to levels synchronized with roles.

Here my question is: Is there any possible way to assign a role with an expiry date , that is, during a given duration, and so have it removed after those 30 days instead of granting as indefinite??

while you can use the RUA API, currently there is no built-in functionality to do this via the admin panel, no.

Since you are already using another plugin to give roles to users, I would recommend using the same plugin to remove roles from users.

    I hope this helps!
