    Hi there from Germany,

I need you help with the optimization of auto optimize and Elementor & our theme.

So we activated the plugin and 2 errors were shown on the page. The first one was that the parallax effect from Elementor didn’t worked on the header pictures. It only showed a grey background. So first of all we deactivated the parallax effect because we didn’t really needed it that much. (But it would be nice if we could fix this also ?? )
The second problem is our footer now. Normally it is light grey and now it has that dark grey colour. I generated the color through the WordPress costumizer but it has also a interface from the theme so I am not 100% sure where I have to search for the fitting html for excluding it in auto optimize.

Could you please help us and guide us what we have to do?

    Thanks a lot! Kind regards,

    Jasmin

OK, so the next step is looking at the HTML source for all JS loaded from wp-content/plugins and then (instead of excluding all plugin JS) excluding the directories one by one to find the one(s) that need(s) to be excluded, maybe starting with wp-content/plugins/elementor ??

    ?? ok I made it…

Oh it doesn’t work anymore… hm strange

Well I am changing that animation on Elementor but…
I installed a theme and they had the following plugins for the style:

Elementor, Kirki Customizer Framework and Imagine Blocks II

    Maybe that helps

so you mean you had to exclude all 3 to get it working? phew ..

    (@csslabsjasmin)

no, just to let you know that there could be 2 other options which could be the problem, maybe, I am not sure :/

But I checked the html on this site and there stands:

    class=”elementor-element elementor-element-1597f408 section-align-center section-size-large subtitle-style-none elementor-widget elementor-widget-section-heading”

    So it should be Elementor.
What I also found in the console is an error with:

[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 () (2019-04-15_12-26-06_BWGV_CSS-MicroSystems-GmbH-VR-Innovationspreis.jpg, line 0)
    > Ausgew?hltes Element

But as I told you when I disable the parallax effect everything is fine

aha, that could very well be a lazyload issue, can you try adding “CSS-MicroSystems-GmbH-VR-Innovationspreis.jpg” to the AO image lazyload exclusion list?

    Thread Starter csslabsjasmin

    (@csslabsjasmin)

this doesn’t work also I am sorry :/

    Plugin Author Optimizing Matters

    (@optimizingmatters)

and if you disable lazyload in Autoptimize entirely?

    Thread Starter csslabsjasmin

    (@csslabsjasmin)

no, I am sorry. Just when I disable JS

    Plugin Author Optimizing Matters

    (@optimizingmatters)

    the mystery continues …

next up; try excluding wp-content/plugins/imaginem-blocks-ii/assets/js/jarallax/jarallax.js or even more bluntly wp-content/plugins/imaginem-blocks-ii/ ?

    Thread Starter csslabsjasmin

    (@csslabsjasmin)

OMG yes ?? Both options worked so the picture is there now, but the parallax effect still doesn’t work…

We are getting closer to the result ??

Can you untick the “minify excluded CSS/ JS”-option?

    Thread Starter csslabsjasmin

    (@csslabsjasmin)

    I did, but nothing happened

    (@csslabsjasmin)

I checked again the html and now there is a new error with:

[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 () (swiper.min.js.map, line 0)

    wp-content/plugins/elementor/assets/lib/swiper/swiper.min.js.map

When I exclude it in auto optimize it doesn’t work I checked it but maybe it could be important…
