Autoplays video again after closing modal box

  • I clicked the modal box to open the YouTube video. I pressed play. I pressed pause then closed the modal box. Then the YouTube video began playing again without the modal box open, and without any ability to stop it.

    What could be causing this issue?

    OK, seen & confirmed the video restarts. it looks like the modal popup plugin has JS that does something when closing the video (see screenshot below) and I thank that one is actually doing this;

    Ok. So you recommend reaching out to that plugin author and asking them why the autoplay resumes upon closing the modal?

    yes, indeed; as soon as the video starts playing you’re not seeing the LYTE player any more, but a normal YT vid, so this is about interaction between the modal popup & YT vids rather then between the popup & LYTE (although the fact that you have to press play to replace LYTE with the YT vid might … confuse the modal JS somewhat, but that would also be something the modal dev would need to look into).
