    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I am afraid I cannot access your Facebook update to check how it looks on your end.

However, such tags are probably not added by Jetpack Publicize: Publicized Facebook posts get their title from your post title; the description is grabbed from your post’s excerpt; the image comes from the images you have inserted into your post.

Where were the tags added? After the title, or in the description? Could you check your other active plugins for a plugin that can tweak your post titles or your excerpts; some SEO plugins can do that, for example.

    Hi Jeremy

    Thanks for the quick response.

    Here’s the correct link https://www.facebook.com/CTHolidayNews/posts/10151465342520499

I thought it may be Yoast WordPress SEO plugin but I could not find the place where these tags are added.

This is what the Facebook update looks like (excluding the pic)

Read our latest post here: Needed a Cape Town Holiday Accommodation Agency: I am thinking of renting accommodation for my trip what should I look out for? https://bit.ly/VfzscU Cape Holiday Questions, Camps Bay, Cape Town, Cape Town Holiday, Johannesburg, Kalk Bay, Simon’s Town, South Africa, Vacation property

The italics part is the tags that came from the WP post.

I will re-check the SEO plugin settings.

    Thanks for helping.

    Have fun

Is your FB page published? I don’t seem to be able to access it:

Could you make a screenshot of the update, maybe, so I can have a look at it?

    Hi Jeremy

See the tags comma separated after the URL

    Thanks buddy ??

I have no clue where it comes from. I only have 4 plugins active. Only the SEO plugin could do this but how and where. I have no clue.

Thanks. This update doesn’t seem to be coming from Jetpack Publicize. Did you activate another autopost service in the past?

When the post is published via Jetpack Publicize, you should see the following next to the post title:
    https://i.wpne.ws/M4Mi

Since your update includes a bit.ly link, you might want to check for a Bit.ly plugin on your site, or a service linked to bit.ly.

    Hi Jeremy

Thanks. I’ll investigate as they could be external to my wordpress install.
