    Hi

I am using Autoptimize. I read that there is a problem if the Autoptimize cache size becomes too big. But I do not know what is too big a cache. My Autoptimize cache size is like this: 4.57 MB, 53 files, and it shows 1% in the circle. Is it too big or how far it can go? Please guide me.

    Thanks

    that’s not too big @narinder912 ??

Autoptimize by default uses half a gigabyte as the number to decide if the cache is too big. At that point it will try to send you a warning-mail and the green circle will be flashing red instead.

In general if you cache grows with 100Mb or more per day you would have to worry, otherwise all is fine.

    hope this clarifies,

Thanks and just one more question. Am I supposed to delete the cache periodically or just watch it grow. I mean why do we have the delete cache button?

    Best Regards

it click that button 2-3 times a year just to keep things clean. it’s like your recycle bin on your windows/ macos desktop really. you don’t _have_ to empty it, but you do so now and again ??
