When the plugin is activated there are no rules yet, in which case all CSS is inlined to ensure nothing is render-blocking, but that indeed pushed that other content (incl. the OG-tags) down.

The easiest solution is to create a “default rule” which then is used when no normal rules match (yet).

    hope this helps,
    frank

Thank you! Do you know how to create a default rule and how should it looks like?

sure; go to https://criticalcss.com/ (make sure you’re logged in), enter a URL for a representative page of your site in the “URL”-field and press “Generate”. Wait for the job to finish and then click on the copy/paste icon next to it to put the critical CSS in the copy/paste buffer.

Next go to WordPress -> Settings -> critical CSS and there click on “add default rule CSS” and paste the critical CSS from the previous step in the modal popup, click on “Submit” (the modal will close) and then on “Save Changes”.
