Hi, i arrived here after a few weeks of testing Autoptimize plugin and have the same problem with the diacritic fonts. As i have test, this is give it by the cache plugin, any of them, i have test severals, now i work with Cache Enabler.
So, here is what i see after testing, when i open a post from the webpage work fine as fonts displayed, but when i try to open again the same post, when is take it from the cache folder i guess, it brings displayed error on diacritic fonts like ?,?,?,a and so on…If i deactivate the cache work fine but very slow and here is another big problem of my site.
So i can’t go any further with test of what do the cache, or how fast is opening a page, because this error still there. I have test different settings give it by the Autoptimize and Cache Enabler plugins.
Any advice could be helpful, thanks.
    Regards, Viorel

p.s.-this error is active, only when i reopen any of the posts from the browser and when i’m not login into the admin wordpress panel, in the admin panel the fonts are displayed corectly, that’s the reason for the source of error, i mean the cache…

Thanks, meantime i have see that 3.34MB is the site size, can this make smaller with AO or some optimzing tool or this is a matter of theme and plugins that i use?

indeed, it again is a matter of theme/ plugin/ pagebuilder cruft I’m afraid :-/

well, best is to re-configure AO to avoid the cache growing that fast; unticking “also aggregate inline JS” and “also aggregate inline CSS” will probably fix this.

    Hi,
    1. “also aggregate inline JS” – was off
    2. “also aggregate inline CSS” – now is off

Back with some info, after i do some open/reopen pages and test some new scores on gtmetrix and PageSpeed also on pingdom and it results almost double the load time on pingdome. I guess it must be some other settings for biasing the site with AO, have any other ideeas, thanks.

well, the penci-style-inline-css CSS is pretty big, so that makes the HTML response (even) bigger, so that could have a performance-impact. what you *could* try is re-enable “also aggregate inline CSS” but adding .vc_custom_ to the comma-separated CSS-optimization exclusions (as I *think* it’s the WP Bakery custom CSS that causing the cache misses).

Hi, back with new settings. As you say i have re-enable “also aggregate inline CSS” and add “.vc_custom_” with comma separated in the CSS-optimization exclusions and yes is used also WP Bakery as editor and Gutemberg also for classic editor.
Now pingdom score is better, gtmetrix and PageSpeed are almost the same, i don’t know if those are some reference just mentione, i will make some other tests during the day and come back with infos, thanks for support.

p.s.- just try to compare this site https://srpskacafe.com/ with mine, as i know is build with the same theme and evaluate if are some differences between, thanks.

Hi, the AO cache is again at 100 %, so last settings won’t solve the problem. Could we try something else? Thanks.

afraid you’ll either have to re-disable “also aggregate inline CSS” or find out what more to exclude from CSS optimization?

    Thread Starter userwp2020

    (@userwp2020)

Have any idea where i find those css to exclude, is any of the speed test this kind of infos?

    Plugin Author Optimizing Matters

    (@optimizingmatters)

no, it’s a matter of gazing at the HTML source of an un-optimized page and spotting inline CSS that looks like it’s specific to that page (often having random-looking strings in the CSS-selector.

    (@userwp2020)

So as i understand i try at blind to find some specific ccs’s by test one at a time?
