• Very nice auto-responder…

It just stops working all together.

I’ve installed it on a few of my sites and it stops working
on them at the same time, as I go to these sites and test
    if they are working.

I really enjoy this plugin when it is working and would like
to continue, and possibly purchase the pro version in the future.

It does say in the log that a confirmation email has been sent
for the recipient, but I don’t receive any email in my inbox
as that’s how I test if it’s working.

I’ve deactivated it as an attempt to fix it and deleted the plugin
as well re-installing it as a way to fix it.

It pretty much was a configure the plugin, and no other maintenance
    or configurations were needed.

Thanks in advance, as I’m lost and would like to very much continue using this great plugin!

If the log is showing emails as sent this means the plugin works, bur your server is not sending emails.

What to do if it does not send any emails?

Please have in mind that our plugin only instructs your WordPress installation to send emails. It doesn’t handle the technical side of sending them. So if you have problems sending emails you most likely have to talk to your hosting support or server admin. But here is a super-short guide that will most probably help you resolve your issue:

Which emails are not being sent – autoresponder and newsletter emails or all emails including the double opt-in message? If only autoresponder/newsletter emails are not sent, then for sure your cron job is not working.
If all emails are not being sent, please install WP Mail SMTP, set the sender name and email and select “PHP Mail” as sending mode. Try to send a test mail to yourself. If this email is sent properly, please contact us to have a look. If this email is not sent or goes to junk box, the problem is in your installation. You have two options:
Contact your hosting support for help
Switch to SMTP email sending and enter SMTP details. If emails start going out, you are all set – the autoresponder will also work. If even SMTP test email does not get sent you absolutely should talk to your hosting support. Please do not contact us in this case until your mailing issue is resolved.

    Hello prasunsen,

I checked the log after sending a test and there was no email sent this time.

    Per your instructions above:

If all emails are not being sent, please install WP Mail SMTP, set the sender name and email and select “PHP Mail” as sending mode. Try to send a test mail to yourself. If this email is sent properly, please contact us to have a look.

I installed WP Mail SMTP, and sent a test email to myself, and it sent and worked right away.

Per your instructions above… you did want me to contact you at this point?

    Thanks very much!

If the log shows no email, then your cron job is not working. Is this autoresponder email or other email that you were trying to send?

It seems to work on sites after I install for the first time, and then eventually stops sending.

    Per your question above:

    1) I fill out the name and email form on the page as the test.
    2) A small box appears saying “an email confirmations has been sent.”
    3) I click OK and I’m taken to the page I designated.

No email is sent out to the email addressee, and even the log
    does not show anything.

It would usually go to the recipient to confirm, then would send the first auto-responder message, and even send the 2nd auto-responder message a day later.

Here’s an update on the situation.

Yesterday I went to 4 of my sites where the autoresponder plugin
is installed at tested each one again.

All 4 sites autoresponder worked perfect without a flaw.

I do not know why at this point, but I suspect it could have
been my server and hosting like already mentioned.

All 4 sites worked very smoothe and I will be looking at my hosting in order to update this post for others that may have this issue.

Thank you prasunsen for this very nice plugin and for the help and support that is top notch.

When I find out any more news on this, I’ll post back here for others to read as well.
