I tried to activate the Autoupdate Plugins feature of Jetpack, but the autoupdate switch on each of my plugins on the WordPress account pages is greyed out. The info icon next to it states the autoupdates are not available because autodupates are explicitly disabled by a site administrator. Well, I’m the site administrator and I didn’t disable it. I do have a couple of security plugins, so I disabled them and tried again to no avail. Further instructions indicated that I must be able to install plugins and update them without entering an FTP username and password. This is the case with me. It then mentions the constants DISALLOW_FILE_MODS and AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED must be set to false or not defined. I don’t know where to go to look for them, but it’s certainly not anything I’ve defined.

    Got any ideas?
