Availability of color palettes from wp.com in wp.org?

    Dear,

    The customizer of the Dyad theme in wordpress.com offers different color palettes to choose from. This is not the case in www.ads-software.com.

    I already found the CSS sheet of the bright white-blue palette in an earlier thread. Are the CSS sheets of the other palettes also available somewhere?

    Or is this a premium feature only?

  • Hi An,

    The free version of WordPress.com does include some free colour palettes and you have some more choices if you upgrade to WordPress.com Premium or Business. The built in option of switching to a different colour palette isn’t currently available for sites hosted outside of WordPress.com, however, it is possible for you to add custom CSS to copy the effect.

    If you can point to a WordPress.com site that features a colour palette you want for your own site, I’ll be happy to provide you with the necessary custom CSS.

    Hi An, I’ve put the custom CSS for that colour scheme in a Pastebin for you, where you can copy it out into your site:

    Don’t edit the theme files directly, otherwise your changes will be overwritten every time the theme is updated.

    An easy way to add custom CSS is to install the Jetpack plugin and activate the Custom CSS module. You’ll then add your custom CSS in the new stylesheet editor that’ll appear in your dashboard, under Appearance > Edit CSS. You could also install a standalone custom CSS plugin if you prefer.
