Is the plugin available for downloadable products?

Yes, you can use the configurator for single products, whether they are physical or not.

And is it be possible to connect each choice to a PDF product?

Ideally, I would love to be able to use the Configurator to show the choices to the customer, and then automatically let them buy the PDFs corresponding to their choices.

Both of these are linked, and are possible with the Stock management / Linked product add-on – which enables you to link a choice to an other product, and add it to the cart.

So if what you described are all the specific requirements you have, it should be fine.

I have now purchased the Linked products add-on.

I have embedded the configurator inline with your shortcode, and would love to be able to fetch the product description from the linked products and show it under the configurator, when customer chooses a dress (a linked product).
Is this possible without too much coding?
