Hello, I’m currently using the free version of the Plugin Version 3.11.4.
I added the Avatar Form Field and used the shortcode to create an edit profile page. Now the Avatar field is working fine for admin users, but it is causing “Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘<‘, “<!DOCTYPE “… is not valid JSON” error for non-admin users and the “update” button becomes disabled when the user attempts to add/modify the Avatar field.

    Hi @ereyeskatana,

First of all, please update the Profile Builder plugin to the latest version (3.11.5), to make sure that everything is up to date.

    Now regarding the issue:

    1. Could you please go to your site’s Dashboard – Profile Builder -> Form Fields -> click on the “Edit” button that’s next to the Avatar field -> and send a full screenshot from there (please make sure all the Avatar field?settings?can be seen).
    2. Could you please send a screenshot with the exact console error you’re seeing?

Note 1: I want to mention that is intended for the Update/Register button to be unavailable (turn grey) for a?few seconds until the image you’re trying to upload is successfully uploaded to your site, but this should normally take a few seconds, after which the Update button should be again available.

Note 2: You can use a site like https://snipboard.io/ to share the screenshots.

II want to note that the error is happening even if I set it to “use simple upload” = false. Only this time there is no console error.

    1. Just to be sure, you encounter this issue when you’re logged in with a user account that doesn’t have the Administrator user role and you’re trying to upload an image to the Avatar field from the front-end Profile Builder Edit Profile form?
    2. Could you please send the PB settings? Please install the “Import and Export Settings Addon” from Profile Builder –> Add-ons. Then export your Profile Builder settings and send the file. Note:?Please send the PB settings file to the following address:?hello@cozmoslabs.com while mentioning this forum thread.

    Best regards,
