    Hi Justin,

Is it possible with either the basic or premium version to save the users FaceBook profile picture Locally in the same way a BuddyPress uploaded avatar is saved?

I’ve been running into a reoccurring issue where the avatars of users that login via social login are not working with some other plugins and certain BuddyPress functionality, and suspect that saving the Avatars locally would solve the issues. I did see the WP-FB-AutoConnects premium option related to ‘Avatar Cacheing’, but wasn’t sure if that was primarily performance based or could possibly solve the issue?

I didn’t want to inundate you with details, but let me know if you need any clarification or more info.

Thanks for the plugin and your help!
    Carl

“Avatar caching” does copy the profile pictures locally; it was designed to solve the problem where Facebook changes the URLs of the images (or i.e. maybe a user deletes their profile picture), which leads to broken images on your site. If your issue is that “some facebook avatars don’t work” (i.e. because the fb url no longer works), that will fix it.

If the issue is that the avatars don’t work with “some plugins” but at the same time they do work across the rest of your site, the problem is likely that those plugins are not calling the avatar functions properly.
