Avatar Images not uploading

I’m having problems displaying avatars uploaded to s3.

It appears the avatar image are being uploaded correctly to s3
ie. xyz.jpg

…but not the avatar version of the image.
ie xyz-avatar.jpg.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
