Avatar in Profile

    When I go to my profile page in Masteriyo to add an avatar, I get the message that reads, “Avatar should be changed from gravatar.” So, Masteriyo uses the default WP avatar option for profiles. Yet, a majority of users have no idea as to what Gravatar is and, frankly, I do not like so many connections to so many external websites from my own website.

    I use Simple User Plugin so that Gravatar can be eliminated and users can upload their own images. These images, however, do not appear on Masteriyo profile page – I still see the default Gravatar image. I have not tested any other avatar plugins.

    I think Masteriyo should provide the users with the option of uploading their own images for their profiles. This image may well be different from the avatar they use for the website itself – having one avatar (or the default avatar) for the WP interface and another one for Masteriyo will not be a problem at all.

    Hi @hakangur,

    Yes, we are currently supporting the user avatars from Gravatar and it might be confusing to users as well. So, to make it simple we are planning to include the image upload feature directly through the user account profile in our coming updates.
