I have added a custom avatar in the back end for my user and used [avatar] shortcode (cleared cache too) but still, it shows the default mystery mana avatar and not the custom one.

Likely you are using a plugin that is overriding ours. Deactivate all other plugins and see if it works.

Hi , I have tried with all plugins disabled and default theme in place. Cashe cleared but still showing default avatar. What else can we try?

If there is no plugin overriding the avatar images, it should work. Nor sure why it isn’t.

ARe you sure you disabled all plugins save for our plugin and it was still an issue?

I am unable to replicate the issue on my end.

@waynep16 – I am having the same issue. I have used this plugin before on a couple wordpress sites (4.9/5.1 version of wp) and never had this problem. Built a new site I can upload avatars to profiles but when using the shortcode [avatar] to pages it keeps showing the default avatar. If I change the default avatar it changes and shows the changed avatar as well just not the specific user avatars I uploaded. I cleared cache, removed all extra plugins and no luck.
What weird is I have another plugin which nonporift board management by wired press and it displays the user avatars fine thru its own shortcode. [avatar] just doesnt work.

Did you find a solution to your issue?

Could it be that the other plugin is overriding that of our plugin? Have you tested with the other plugin disabled?
