Avatar Upload Inconveniences

First of all, thank you for your kind words!

if the user has not uploaded an Avatar, it would be nice to show the default avatar. From some screenshots, I thought that this would be the case but it is not for us.

-> Unfortunately, this is not possible not possible while using PB.

More importantly however, the uploaded image is not cropped to a square, so when our theme (Divi) displays the avatar, it doesn’t fit where it is supposed to be. Is this something that could be changed?

-> Cropping the Avatar picture is not?currently possible with our plugin, but this is an already tracked feature and I’ve also added your request to our development list, so it might be implemented in a future version, but we can’t estimate when that may be.

Maybe a solution would be to go as Admin to your site’s Dashboard -> Media -> Library -> click on the image -> Edit image (button below the photo) -> Rotate/Crop -> Save. It will adjust the photo as you want.

And finally, when using the simple upload (which we prefer). When the user uploads a new avatar, the old one is still shown until they actually update their profile. It would be preferrable to show the uploaded avatar immediately. Again, is this something that could be done?

-> While using the Simple Upload functionality. If a user goes to the page where you have the PB Edit Profile form, they will first need to click on the Remove button, that’s next to the Avatar field to remove their current picture, after which they will need to upload the new one and then click on “Update” button. The new uploaded avatar is shown in the Edit Profile form, only after the profile was Updated (unfortunately it is not possible to do it sooner).

Thank you for your reply. This is of course not what I hoped for but I understand. But it is good to hear that the most important function (cropping) is being worked on.
