Avatars (add local avatar) plug-in not working in 3.0.4

Hi there,

I just updated to 3.0.4 and am having a problem with a lot of my old plug-ins. Not sure if it has to do with my theme (Mystique) or if the plug-ins are just not compatible with the version. I just uploaded the avatar plug-in v9.0 to another blog I’m maintaining yesterday and it worked fine but its running on 3.0.1.

When trying to activate it in 3.0.4 I get the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /homepages/26/d151391773/htdocs/www/blog/wp-content/plugins/add-local-avatar/avatars.php on line 61

I’m not sure how to fix this. Has anyone else had this problem? I’m also having problems with my Google analytics plug-in, my sexy bookmarks plug in and akismet. None of these were an issue before. The issue leaves me unable to go back in and edit posts once they’re published and sometimes I’m unable to access the dashboard at all. Switching the theme helps with some of the plug-ins but not all.
